What are the advantages of Memjet?
Unique printhead
The most unique feature of every Memjet printer is the printhead. A total of 70,400
microscopically small nozzles produce more than 750 million ink droplets per second,
which together form the print.
The unique printhead is approximately 30cm wide. It prints all colors simultaneously
at a speed of 9 or 18 meters per minute. The print engine has no moving parts, which
reduces maintenance (and costs) to a minimum!
Speed
This latest Memjet technology makes it possible to print at an incredible speed of 18 meters per minute. This means being able to print 10,000 labels per hour with a height of 100 mm. And this with excellent quality and in brilliant colors. Additionally, it is possible to print razor-sharp, deep black text and barcodes at up to 1,600 x 1,600 dpi.
Quality
The print quality of Memjet technology is excellent. As previously mentioned, Memjet technology allows for incredibly fast printing. Unlike other inkjet systems, this speed does not come at the expense of quality. Memjet printers are thermal inkjet printers with water-based inks and a droplet size of only 1.3 picoliters (!), maintaining 1600 dpi at all speeds; the sharpness, color intensity, and detail are fully preserved.
